Amazing experience! We are out of town and ordered 3 drinks at the wrong Starbucks. The team remade them for us free of charge so we didn’t have to pay again. The entire crew was so nice. You rarely have Starbucks employees acknowledging you and talking to you because they are so busy but this crew was amazing.
Thanks again.
Ableists. This establishment is run by ableists. My husband and my daughter parked in the disability space and someone came out and told him he couldn't park there because it's for people with disabilities. Yeah. We know. My daughter is disabled. They then proceeded to explain that no, it's for people with WHEELCHAIRS. So... My husband and DISABLED daughter (with our car with a permanent handicap placard, by the way) cannot use this space just because you don't see a wheelchair? News flash. Not all disabled people use wheelchairs. They may use them sometimes, but not all the time, or they may not need them at all. That doesn't mean it's not harder to walk long distances or there's not falling risks or other problems that warrant the use of this handicap spot. This is basically the textbook definition of ableism. I can't believe Starbucks doesn't do any general education about this or any general sensitivity training on people with disabilities. You bet this is getting shared literally on all disabilities Facebook pages we belong to. I honestly am in shock still.
The go-to coffee shop in downtown Elmhurst for evenings spent there.
About the same as any other Starbucks I've been to, which still means it's pretty good.
Like all other locations they have all the same food options. I’ve never had a problem with them running out of something. Everyone is nice there. The place is always busy. The staff could get better at keeping an eye on the tables because they stay dirty for too long after someone leaves. There is hardly any parking. This spot is good if you don’t mind walking to it and then walking around town; which is nice.
Went here with my disabled family member little Johnny and they were so accommodating. A barista even came and opened the door giving him a huge hi-five!
Team team here has really turned around to tiptop shape ever since this Ashley girl has got involved in running this store! It’s clear she’s the new sheriff in town there.
Imagining people of the Elmhurst community being rude and making harsh comments on a public forum like this is just distasteful and disgusting!
I support this Starbucks staff because I see how great they have always treated my little Johnny
This store treats everyone of its customer like they would family members!
The parking around this place is iffy. One thing that is apparent are people who park on the handicapped spot, like this dude in the blue truck, who didn't have a tag, and definitely wasn't handicapped. People also park next to handicapped cars in the area designated for unloading wheelchairs. Seen an actual handicapped person unable to unload because of someone who blocked the entire area. Also saw a police car and a parking authority pass without taking any action. NOT GOOD! The staff at this Starbucks is very nice, and the drinks are AWAYS correct. Something I can't say about the location by Mariano's or down the road off York in Bensenville. If you don't mind walking a little bit to get there, I highly recommend.
This is one of my usual Starbucks along my work route. Every time I'm in here, the service is super friendly and you can tell that the staff loves their job (if they don't, they hide it well). I appreciate how great they always are, even when dealing with a crazy rush short handed!
Starbucks never fails with their fantastic coffee choices. From rich espressos to sweet frappuccinos, they have something for everyone.
I took my mom there this morning. It was her first time at this location. It was busy, but the drinks were ready quickly. The baristas were nice, one of our drinks was made incorrectly and they remade it promptly and it was delicious. We sat by the window in the comfy chairs and it was great, for a few minutes. I’m not sure if the manager was doing reviews for the employees or what, but they were taking up two tables (4 chairs) for two people, and speaking so loudly that my mom and I had to move from the comfy spot we were in to a tiny table by the door that was freezing. Shouldn’t they be conducting Starbucks business in a back office, not taking up tables and chairs that a customer could be using? Certainly should not be so loud as to disrupt any kind of enjoyable experience that could have been had at this Starbucks location. It was a shame, it was a terrible first impression.
I feel like 7 bucks for a nice sized pumpkin spice latte is worth it here.
